FROM THE PODCAST
You Understand Your Patterns. Why Are You Still Stuck?
You know what you do when you’re overwhelmed. You may even know where it started. So why does the same pattern keep taking over?
Why this podcast exists
Understanding isn’t the end of the story.
You can understand a pattern perfectly—and still watch yourself repeat it.
You know why you retreat when someone gets close, why you work so hard to earn approval, or why you keep hiding what you most want to create. But understanding where those patterns came from doesn't necessarily make you free.
So what actually changes us?
LIVING PROOF is a podcast with somatic psychotherapists Evan Power and Colin Ferring exploring the space between knowing yourself and living differently.
Drawing on depth and somatic psychotherapy, contemplative traditions, and honest personal inquiry, we explore how shame and the strategies we developed to protect ourselves can quietly shape our identities, relationships, and possibilities.
Through conversations about psychology, spirituality, intimacy, and creative expression, we ask what it takes to meet the parts of ourselves we've learned to reject, move beyond self-protection, and become more fully available to life.
Because the point of inner work isn't simply to understand your story. It's to become free to live a different one.

Evan Power
Somatic psychotherapy · Depth work · Vajrayana practice
Evan holds a master’s in somatic psychotherapy and has led meditation groups since 2011. His approach brings depth and relational work together with Vajrayana practice, informed by more than a cumulative year in retreat.
His own journey through shame and avoidance shapes the questions he brings to the podcast: what helps us stay with the parts of ourselves we learned to escape—and turn that recovered energy toward connection, creativity, and a more fully lived life?
CO-HOST
Colin Ferring
Somatic psychotherapy · Relationships · Inner inquiry
Colin is a Colorado Licensed Professional Counselor with a master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a somatic emphasis. He brings experience in wilderness therapy alongside Vipassana meditation and study in the Diamond Approach.
His path through perfectionism, anxiety, and the feeling of not belonging informs his interest in how we find our way back to connection. Through therapy, movement, and relational work, he learned to feel more at home in his body—and let others meet him there.
